Austria's first seminar rooms and hotel rooms based on the circular economy are being built in Vienna's 2nd district. Inspired by Cradle2Cradle, companies will be able to hold meetings and stay overnight in a healthy living environment from April 2025. The hotel's carbon footprint will be shown on the bill.
Healthy conference rooms and 200-year-old parquet floors
Following a common good balance, cleaning without chemicals and bedding made from 100% natural materials, the family-run hotel on Praterstrasse is consistently continuing its path of holistic sustainability: A renovation according to the criteria of the circular economy expands the hotel's offering to include two conference rooms close to the city center that are easy to reach - perfect for companies that not only have high standards of sustainability for seminars and meetings, but also value a warm, inspiring atmosphere.
Healthy, Cradle2Cradle-certified materials and resource-saving construction methods form the basis for this: for example, the historic, 200-year-old Viennese parquet floor - saved, preserved and passed on -, straw panels and sheep's wool insulation or mineral paint on the walls. Together with organic-certified seminar catering, modern technical equipment and personal support from the Henriette team, organizers and participants can devote themselves entirely to their productive discussions and their own creative ideas.
For the first time in Austria: Circular Living Room
The seminar offering is complemented by Circular Living rooms, in which the healthy living concept can also be experienced while sleeping. Currently limited to a small, exclusive number of rooms, the concept will be rolled out to all hotel rooms in the next few years.
But even now, thanks to the chemical-free dry steam cleaning throughout the hotel, guests can enjoy an environmentally friendly indoor climate - as if the room had just been freshly aired. The bedding made from purely natural materials also ensures restful sleep after an intensive day of seminars.
Green Meeting Location
The CO2 footprint of just 1.28 kg per overnight stay without travel (SDI ESG Report 2022; industry average 10.77 kg) also allows you to sleep soundly. This is also shown on the hotel bills. As a holder of the Austrian Ecolabel, the Stadthotel Henriette is also ideally suited as a partner for green meetings. The owners of the Henriette Stadthotel, Verena and Georg Pastuszyn, have already received several awards for their pioneering work - most recently with the TRIGOS 2024. Now the forward thinkers and their team are proving once again that sustainability in the hotel industry can also be successfully implemented in urban areas.
