The VBV Pension Fund is delighted to receive the latest award from ÖGUT – the Austrian Society for Environment and Technology. Every year, ÖGUT audits and certifies corporate pension funds and employee benefits funds according to sustainability criteria on a voluntary basis.

Every year, ÖGUT audits and certifies occupational pension funds according to sustainability criteria on a voluntary basis. This year, VBV is the first and only pension fund to receive the Gold Standard for the fifteenth time – and at the highest level, Triple-A+.

“We are delighted to have received the top award in the area of sustainability for years, and at the same time it is an incentive to continue our consistently high commitment to sustainability,” explains Andreas Zakostelsky, CEO of VBV-Vorsorgekasse.

As a pioneer in the entire pension and financial industry, VBV-Vorsorgekasse has been active in the field of sustainability for many years. VBV has been investing sustainably for more than 20 years. For example, in 2015, it was the first financial institution in German-speaking countries to commit to measuring the carbon footprint of its portfolio and is continuously reducing it. VBV has been a member of the Green Finance Alliance of the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection for many years and is also committed to biodiversity.
