“StartClim” sees itself as a research program that helps to tackle new research approaches.

This year, the StartClim research program will award projects for the 23rd time. StartClim sees itself as a program that helps to make a start. It supports innovative projects that address current issues related to the Austrian Adaptation Strategy.

The deadline for submitting project proposals is from May 27 to July 14, 2025, 12:00 noon.

The questions addressed by StartClim2025/26 are divided into thematic blocks – for project ideas that do not fit the current questions, there is again the opportunity to submit an application on a freely chosen topic related to the Austrian Adaptation Strategy.

The funding decision for the application will be communicated via email, and financial support for the research projects will be provided in the form of a work contract. Changes to the work contract are no longer possible after the project has been submitted.
