With the new third jersey for the 2025/26 season, SK Rapid is sending a strong and visible message – both nationally and internationally – for sustainability.

Under the motto "Sustainable. Awesome.", a resource-saving, environmentally friendly jersey was created in collaboration with PUMA and 11teamsports, featuring a special design that symbolizes the deep connection to SK Rapid's hometown. And sustainability is also reflected in its color: green!

Crafted from innovative RE-FIBRE material, the jersey features a stylized image of the Hütteldorf train station, underscoring the strong connection to the green and white homeland. This combines tradition with responsibility for the future.

In keeping with the motto, the new jersey, which will be used in both national professional competitions and, in particular, in the league phase of the UEFA Conference League, will be presented exclusively in green and white. Only green and white! The sponsors' prints also feature the Hütteldorfer colors, with only the Rapid crest appearing in its familiar look.

"Sustainability plays a very central role in our club. I'm all the more pleased that with our third jersey, we're not only setting a clear example in this area, but also expressing our club identity in a contemporary way. My special thanks go to our main sponsor, Wien Energie, and our other partners who helped make this idea a reality. For me personally, it's one of the most beautiful Rapid jerseys," says SK Rapid Managing Director Steffen Hofmann, who is enthusiastic about the new jersey!

Daniela Bauer, Managing Director of Business, is equally pleased: "The design underscores the close connection to our heritage and makes the jersey wearable both on match days and in everyday life. Sustainability and identification with our roots are also particularly important to us. This jersey thus goes far beyond a classic matchday jersey and is also suitable as a fashionable lifestyle outfit. To convey these values to the outside world, we will take over the traditional Viennese sausage stand "Zum scharfen Rene" on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., thus expanding our presence in the heart of the city. With the pop-up stand in the city center, we combine sustainable distribution with local proximity, thereby reducing transport routes."

A big thank you goes to all partners and sponsors who supported this campaign and thus contributed to the uniform implementation of this special jersey, says SK Rapid.

RE:FIBER

In the RE:FIBRE process, textiles are chemically broken down into their main components to create new textiles. The resulting material is virtually new and can be recycled again and again without loss of quality. All garments produced with RE:FIBRE consist of at least 95% recycled textile waste and other post-consumer polyester. This makes RE:FIBRE a promising and more sustainable solution for reusing polyester and contributing to the reduction of textile waste.
