Flexible working hours and the offer of all-day childcare have been making a significant contribution to improving the balance between work and family at FACC for years. With the founding of the women's network FACC Wings for Women two years ago, another important step was taken to support women during their working lives and, with it, to increase equal opportunities. For this mix of measures, FACC AG has now been certified as a family-friendly employer: Bernadett Humer, Head of the Family and Youth Section in the Federal Chancellery of the Republic of Austria, presented the state seal of approval this Wednesday at a ceremony in the Aula der Wissenschaften in Vienna, thereby recognizing FACC's commitment to more family-friendliness in the workplace.
"A good balance between work and family is essential for sustainable company success," emphasizes Martina Hamedinger, VP Human Resources. "At FACC, we see it as our task to create the framework for top performance. This includes a focus on working in line with life phases and the associated flexibility, as well as support with childcare and the professional advancement of women."
Over 300 working time models
Over 300 different working time models in the company underline the flexibility that FACC AG offers its employees in structuring their working hours. The focus is on creating an environment that is particularly responsive to the needs of families. This also includes a focus on job sharing - also for management positions: This enables mothers or fathers who work part-time to continue their careers without interruption. In addition to flexitime and home office, parents are offered the opportunity to coordinate their working hours. With so-called counter-equal shifts, this option is also available to production employees.
FACC as one of the most attractive employer brands in Austria
In the competition for the best employees, measures for more diversity and family friendliness play a major role - also in view of the ongoing shortage of skilled workers. The successful positioning of FACC as a family-friendly employer is also reflected in a large-scale study by the personnel service provider Randstad, in which FACC was among the six best employers in Austria. First place was achieved in Upper Austria. The receipt of the Leading Employer Award 2024 also underlines FACC's position as one of Austria's TOP employers.
