Registration for the running highlight on September 28, 2025 in Amstetten is particularly attractive this year.

As part of the Children's Aid Run benefiting the Hilde Umdasch House of the Malteser Children's Aid, the state championships in the 10-km road race will also be held! Registration for the Children's Aid Run is now open.

"The Austrian 10km Road Race Championship will be the crowning conclusion of this year's Children's Aid Run. This prestigious event not only attracts the elite of the local running scene, but also generates interest far beyond the region's borders," says the initiator of the Children's Aid Run, qualified sports instructor Reinhard Gruber from the Heilsport-Team association. He adds: "Registrations are now open for the various participation categories, which we offer to appeal to leaf enthusiasts of all ages. Our goal is, of course, to welcome as many participants as possible, because that way everyone is helping 'by running'."

Grateful for the support of children with life-shortening illnesses

"With their entry fees, all runners support the children and young people with life-shortening illnesses who are lovingly cared for and supported at the Hilde Umdasch House of the Malteser Children's Aid. Reinhard Gruber and his team have made the Children's Aid Run a widely visible symbol of solidarity," says Olivier Loudon, Managing Director of the Malteser Children's Aid. He adds: "Thanks to the funds generated by the Children's Aid Run, we can provide even more targeted and better support to our young, sick residents and significantly improve their quality of life despite their illness. We are therefore grateful to everyone who registers now!"

Live event and “Virtual Run”

In addition to the live event on September 28, 2025, in Amstetten, there is also the opportunity to participate in the Children's Aid Run virtually. Organizer Reinhard Gruber explains: "This creates the opportunity for participants throughout Austria and even worldwide to participate in the run. Several hundred people take advantage of this opportunity every year, in addition to the approximately 1,000 running enthusiasts who come to the Umdasch Stadium in Amstetten to experience the special atmosphere live."
