The Austrian Association of Engineers and Architects (ÖIAV) and ÖGNI (Austrian Society for Sustainable Real Estate) jointly present the INA Award to pupils and students.

Innovation and sustainability – these are the criteria for the INA Award. These keywords encompass technologies, processes, and proposals for how the real estate and architecture world can positively influence our planet and achieve resource- and environmentally-friendly results.
The Award
The award recognizes pre-scientific and scientific work that provides impetus for the Austrian real estate and construction sector. Therefore, work that was created using scientific methods during the training of young experts and has found its way into innovative products or services without publication is also eligible.
Innovation in the sense of this award means that the submissions relate to technologies and processes that can positively influence the living and working environment in the context of buildings, urban development, etc. in the future and are at least partially innovative.
Sustainability in the sense of this award means that the submissions contain suggestions on how buildings, whether new or existing, can be designed, renovated and planned in such a way that they conserve resources and the environment.
The winners will receive a prize of 500 euros.
Who will be honored?
The aim of the award is to support young people. Applications are open to all educational paths (technical colleges, universities, universities of applied sciences, etc.). This is consistent with the objective of promoting all educational paths in architecture, engineering, and natural sciences equally.
Young people are recognized for their exceptional achievements during their education. The age limit for applications is between 17 and 32 years, so schoolchildren are also deliberately invited to participate.
The award is given to Austrians and people who are completing their training or working in our country.
The award ceremony will take place on November 18, 2025, in the ballroom of the OIAV, Eschenbachgasse 9/2, 1010 Vienna.
