Arnold Schwarzenegger invites you to the Hofburg on June 3, 2025, under the motto “Unite in Action – Terminate Pollution.”

The Austrian World Summit, one of the world's most important climate protection conferences, will take place in Vienna for the ninth time on June 3, 2025. The summit is organized by the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative. As in previous years, Federal President Alexander van der Bellen will also serve as the conference's high-ranking political patron.
Host Arnold Schwarzenegger said: "Our motto this year is clear and powerful: Unite in Action – Terminate Pollution. It will guide our conference in June, where we hope to unite participants from over 80 countries around the world to develop common solutions and drive progress."
Austrian Federal President Alexander van der Bellen continued: "I am particularly looking forward to the AUSTRIAN WORLD SUMMIT this year, because it is an important signal of cooperation and action, especially now. It brings together people, ideas, and solutions from all over the world and brings them together in Vienna's Hofburg Palace. In this way, we can jointly address the challenges of the climate crisis and actively shape a sustainable future."
This year, Schwarzenegger is once again bringing together climate activists from around the world, giving them a platform and connecting them with one another. His call is traditionally followed by high-ranking representatives from politics and business, as well as well-known actors and artists from around the world.
Focus on frontline workers in the climate crisis
This year, the AWS is also deliberately shining a spotlight on those heroes who are often fighting in secret for our planet and its people – the first responders on the front lines of the climate crisis. We're all familiar with the images from the media: from the wildfires in California to the floods and flash floods in Spain, Italy, and Austria. These first responders are the ones who, in this new normal, are fighting the direct impacts of climate change every day with courage, determination, and innovation, showing us all what it means to act in the service of the community for a sustainable future.
Monika Langthaler, Director of the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative, adds: "The frontline workers of the climate crisis are role models for all of us. Their commitment shows that every decision, every effort, and every action counts to protect our world—now and for future generations. That's why we want to give them a platform at this year's Summit."
Given the current challenges, the summit in June will once again be a significant moment for climate protection. It offers people from all over the world a platform to tackle the challenges of our time and advance innovative solutions."
"Global progress – from groundbreaking environmental technologies to increasingly sustainable innovations – not only gives us hope, it is an unstoppable engine of change. Yes, the challenges may seem large and mighty in some places, but together we are clearly stronger. Because the bottom line is: We are making progress, we stand united, and no setback can stop us. That's what matters – and that's the power that drives us forward!" said Schwarzenegger.
