100,000 euros for the implementation of the most innovative idea.

GROUNDBREAKERS, together with IBA'27, is awarding funding for sustainable, nature-based innovations in the areas of greening, water systems, bio-based materials, and similar innovations in construction. The aim is to implement technically mature ideas (TRL 6+) for buildings and adjacent areas from across Europe.

The winning team will receive €100,000 to implement their solution, a high-profile presentation at IBA'27, direct access to the GROUNDBREAKERS network, and mentoring. In addition, ten other submissions will receive recognition, visibility, and access to partnerships in the field.
