Child protection gala “Lights of Hope” at Vienna’s highest event location, the ThirtyFive.

The evening combines art, commitment and social responsibility and aims to raise awareness of the importance of child protection.
The high-caliber program includes:
- Reading “Children’s Lives” with Burgtheater stars Michael Maertens & Marie-Luise Stockinger
- Musical cabaret by Thomas Strobl
- Gala dinner at ThirtyFive
- Silent Auction
The child protection gala is under the patronage of Doris Schmidauer, wife of Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen.
The gala raises awareness of the rights of children and young people and sends a clear message against sexual exploitation. The events of recent weeks have shown us once again that a culture of vigilance, civic courage, and protection is still not a given. Children and young people need people who speak out when others remain silent. Child protection is not a fringe issue, but a responsibility of society as a whole.
Ecpat Austria has been consistently campaigning against these forms of exploitation for more than 20 years – through education, lobbying, and concrete projects. In Austria, they are a pioneer and leader in child protection concepts and a committed and leading voice in the fight against the sexual exploitation of children.
