Throwing things away is a thing of the past. Or is it? What was long taken for granted—using resources optimally and for as long as possible—seems to be forgotten today.

Designing exhibitions according to the standards of the circular economy is not something to be taken for granted. More than Recycling explores these possibilities and demonstrates how a museum can contribute to sustainability: New acquisitions were minimized, existing items were recombined, and furniture was adapted so that they can be reused in future exhibitions. Sustainable building materials were used to give the exhibition architecture a distinctive appearance, with color accents highlighting the places where old items have been reassembled.
