Electromobility is increasingly becoming part of everyday life: Customers can choose from a constantly growing portfolio of electric vehicles and a variety of innovative charging solutions. The Vienna Electric Days at Rathausplatz provide a unique overview of these topics – coupled with information on a sustainable, conscious lifestyle and diverse entertainment for the whole family.

Andreas Martin, Managing Director of Porsche Media & Creative and organizer of the Vienna Electric Days: "We are delighted to announce the fifth Vienna Electric Days, which will once again take place on Vienna's Rathausplatz in 2025. This event, like no other, represents the joint commitment of the automotive industry and the City of Vienna to drive the mobility transition. We cordially invite everyone to experience the future of mobility firsthand."

As of the end of December 2024, there were 200,603 purely electric cars in Austria. This represents 3.8 percent of the total car fleet in Austria. Austria already has more than 28,000 public charging points.

Concentrated electrical information at Vienna's Rathausplatz
The Vienna Electric Days provide comprehensive, cross-brand information on e-mobility, including charging infrastructure, financing, and subsidies. At the same time, they also address a sustainable lifestyle. With a diverse combination of innovations in the fields of e-mobility and energy solutions, as well as information and advice, culinary delights, and entertainment, the Vienna Electric Days, with free admission, ensure a lasting impact on the public. What's more, they are considered a valuable contribution to the European Union's zero-emission policy.

"Our clear goal is to accelerate the transformation towards sustainable, emission-free mobility. As an open platform for all manufacturers and brands, the event offers a unique opportunity to make the progress of electromobility accessible to a broad audience. The diversity of the participating companies is a strong signal for the industry and demonstrates that the mobility transition can only succeed through collaboration," Andreas Martin continues.

Expanded concept brings new diversity to the Vienna Electro Days

The fifth Vienna Electric Days will present itself in 2025 with an advanced concept that takes the event to a new level. For the first time, plug-in hybrids will be part of the exhibition alongside purely electric vehicles. The decision to include electrified drive systems for the first time underscores the importance of plug-in hybrids as an important bridging technology on the path to emission-free mobility.

Thanks to this further development of the concept, the variety of vehicles on display at Vienna's Rathausplatz is noticeably larger – and thus the topic of electromobility is presented even more broadly. Plug-in hybrids combine the advantages of an electric drive with the flexibility of a combustion engine. This makes them a practical solution for people who want to travel emission-free but occasionally need longer ranges.

Visitors to the Vienna Electric Days 2025 can look forward to a wide range of innovations – from compact city cars to powerful SUVs to luxury models, all of which showcase the path to a more environmentally friendly future. A comprehensive program with interactive games for the whole family, diverse culinary offerings, and numerous sustainable delicacies round out the on-site offerings.

"We are proud that the Vienna Electric Days provide a platform for innovation, exchange, and inspiration. They are not only a place to present technological developments, but also a forum for discussing the opportunities and challenges of the mobility transition," says Andreas Martin. He adds: "Our special thanks go to the City of Vienna, which supports us as a reliable partner and, with its commitment to sustainability and innovation, creates the ideal setting for this event. Without the city's active support, the Vienna Electric Days would not be possible in this form."
