With Tchibo and Re-Use, clothing for movement stays in motion.

Did your favorite leggings give you energy during yoga class? Did you wear your kids' jersey to many soccer matches? Did your sports shirt accompany you through your first marathon? Many of our garments hold precious memories – but are too valuable to simply throw away. Tchibo and Re-Use Austria are therefore giving sportswear such as sports bras, tracksuit bottoms, tops, and the like (excluding socks and shoes) a second chance from March 10 to 29, 2025. This applies not only to women's but also to men's and children's sportswear. Tchibo is thus fulfilling an explicit customer request from a survey initiated in fall 2024.
And that's how easy reuse works
Visit a nearby Tchibo store, drop off your discarded, non-branded sportswear, and maybe enjoy a coffee. Done! The important thing is that the textiles are still in good condition so that as much as possible can be reused.

In 2024, there were already four reuse campaigns, in which almost 10,000 customers participated and actively counteracted resource waste. Sustainability and social commitment are particularly important to them. 77 percent stated that they wanted to support a good cause with their donation, almost 60 percent considered sustainability a priority when donating, and 92 percent of respondents expressed a desire for Tchibo to continue offering textile donations – no sooner said than done.
And that's not all: The offer is being expanded to include the whole family. Men's and children's sportswear can also be donated during the current campaign, thus remaining in the cycle. This way, even more textiles can be saved from landfill and carefully recycled by Re-Use Austria members Caritas Carinthia, Volkshilfe Upper Austria, Volkshilfe Vienna, and WAMS Tyrol. This way, clothing intended for exercise continues to be in motion – and can create new, precious memories. Further information is available at eduscho.at/textilkreislauf.
