What if perfect coffee not only means absolute enjoyment, but also sets a precedent against food waste? After a successful launch with sweet snacks from the Tchibo Coffeebar, the collaboration with Too Good To Go is entering the next phase. Now, the domestic roasted coffee market leader is expanding its offering to include its core competency: Starting immediately, customers in stores that sell loose beans can order a surprise coffee bag via the app, thus actively contributing to saving valuable resources.

Tchibo places great emphasis on sustainable solutions that both meet customer needs and conserve resources. Too Good To Go aims to prevent food waste by making it possible to purchase still-edible goods at lower prices instead of throwing them away. Tchibo has been a partner since August 2022 and has already rescued more than 88,000 surprise bags. Customers rate the sweet bags 4.67 out of 5 stars. Now the company is taking another step toward sustainable consumption and expanding its successful Too Good To Go offering to rescue high-quality coffee beans.

"We value every single coffee bean, because it contains not only excellent taste, but also valuable work, resources, and passion. Our collaboration with Too Good To Go gives beans that we offer unpackaged a second chance – while also bringing customers sustainable coffee enjoyment at an unbeatable price.“, says Manuela Schneider, Head of Corporate Communications & Corporate Responsibility at Tchibo.

Save coffee instead of wasting it

The new Too Good To Go coffee bag is a permanent fixture in the Tchibo range. It contains only loose beans from the Tchibo Barista Range, the Private Coffees, or the current rarity offered as part of the unpackaged shopping program – which variety is in the bag remains a surprise. What is certain, however, is that it is of the highest quality. The beans are packaged in three different weights: 125 g, 250 g, or 500 g.

High quality standards – sustainable use

Tchibo is committed to the highest quality standards and a promise of freshness. The hoppers for loose beans are cleaned regularly. The beans contained therein are then immediately filled into the Too Good To Go coffee bags. This gives them a second chance at the highest quality – a real win for customers and the environment.

The coffee bag is available for €4.99 and offers a minimum value of €15, based on regular retail prices. Availability depends on store stocks, but can be conveniently checked and ordered via the Too Good To Go app. This way, customers can enjoy coffee at a discounted price while also doing their bit for the environment.
